ABOUT QAPHELANI SONTELE, FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Qaphelani Sontsele is the Founder and Director of EM Smart Solutions, a dynamic electrical engineering consultancy and contracting firm established in 2024. He is dedicated and results-driven engineering professional with a strong foundation in electrical engineering, project delivery, and technical compliance within the South African built environment.

He holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electrical Engineering from the Durban University of Technology (DUT), a qualification that equipped him with both theoretical knowledge and practical application skills across a wide range of electrical engineering disciplines. He is also a registered Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), affirming his competence, professionalism, and adherence to the highest standards of engineering practice.

Mr. Sontsele brings several years of hands-on industry experience, having worked as both a consulting electrical engineer and an electrical contractor. This dual exposure provides him with a unique and well-rounded perspective on projects — from conceptual design and feasibility studies to implementation, commissioning, and maintenance. His experience includes the design and execution of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
